Satori Olathe Apartments

Be careful, I had an experience full of harassing and discrimination from the management especially from the manager Braylin. My wife is a disabled person, I had major noise and maintenance issues, Braylin harassed me and my wife for that rather than helping us. They deliberately put us in a scary and vulnerable position with their behavior. Plus they did not return my security deposit. Braylin and the Satori Olathe management’s negligence and willful ignorance of our complaint has put us in the most life threatening, stressful, desperate, and devastating circumstances of our lives. This is a lawful country. I cannot believe we rented an apartment from a manager that chose to ignore our loud noise complaint. As a BH manager, they put a disabled stroke and cancer patient in this life threatening situation. This is a violation of human rights. This is mental torture for the entire family. I previously informed Satori verbally and via several email that this was a health issue and that this was an emergency waiting to happen, but they chose to ignore it and put us into this situation. On November 15th, the upstairs tenants made an extremely loud sound by dropping heavy weights on the floor. This shook the whole apartment. As a result, my wife was sent to the ER. The doctor and staff at the hospital ordered her NOT to go back to the apartment because she would have to go to the ER again and her health would continue to deteriorate. After she got out of the ER, she did not have anywhere to go. This is when I asked them to provide a temporary place for her to live, but they refused to provide that. My wife has developed incredibly serious and life threatening complications with her health that I have to deal with. She has been rendered completely immobile and is completely dependent on me for her everyday needs. She can’t move, she can’t walk, she can’t even use the bathroom on her own. She is at high risk of having another stroke and heart attack, she is having dangerously high blood pressure, she has developed new kidney and urination problems, she is at high risk of contracting COVID, and she is having nose bleeds daily. She has been forced to go from hotel to hotel for two weeks now paying ridiculous amounts per night ($200+) and moving her in this dangerously cold weather. It was documented by the physician that she should not be exposed to cold weather, that week was extremely cold. I had to find cheaper hotels every night because I could not afford the rates increasing every night. We have been displaced from our OWN home. This is harassment and discrimination against a disabled stroke and heart patient with serious health problems. This was 100% your responsibility to provide housing in a timely manner. You displaced her in this condition, this is medical discrimination. This is all happening because of your willful ignorance towards the complaint of the loud noises that the upstairs tenants are making. On top of that, I am at risk of losing my job due to the tremendous stress and all of the time off I had to take to take care of my wife and deal with the problems you created. I was formally warned by my manager to stop taking time off or I will be fired. This is your fault. Not only have you taken my wife’s health, my health, and our peace of mind away. You will also take our only source of income away. Do you understand the amount of stress, pain, and anxiety we have had to go through and are still going through? This is has put us in an unprecedented crisis and we have NOWHERE to go. This absolutely mental torture. Your failure to stop the upstairs tenants and failure to provide temporary housing for us is against the law. This is willful discrimination towards a disabled person. Since you failed to provide a temporary place for her to live, you are liable for all of the damages you caused to us medically, mentally, and financially. If my wife catches COVID and/or dies, you and BH Management will be responsible. This is senior citizens harassment and abuse. We are elderly seniors.

We rented a 3bdr apartment with the garage. We thought we would stick around in this apartment for several years, but after this last winter we can’t get out fast enough. We refuse to do another winter in this building. Main complains start with the lack of maintenance. Repeatedly sending maintenance’s requests to not have anything fixed for weeks. The smart home system never worked. There simply is not enough parking at the complex. The insulation was horrible and the furnace isn’t sized appropriately so the apartment struggled to stay at temp during the winters. I also want to note how awful their trash service was. Like their trash compactor repeatedly would have a mountain of trash bags in front of it. When that happened they wouldn’t pick up trash bags from the valet trash and you ended up with trash all over the property. It would sit like that for days before anyone would actually clean it up. Any time we tried to talk to administration/property managers we were given vague excuses and dismissive comments. I can’t recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
